Meet Our Pastor

A Message from Our Pastor

Welcome to The Bridge Church! It has been our desire from the very beginning when we were just a handful of people meeting in my home, to connect with God, people and a growing church family as we go and serve the world.

At The Bridge you will discover the many ways we accomplish this, such as through our servicesministry teamssmall group Bible studiesspiritual growth classes and Bridge events, as well as through our online communities. It is our deepest desire to get to know you and for you to get to know us and Jesus Christ, whom we serve.

You are personally invited to visit the Bridge Church and see for yourself what hundreds of other people like yourself have already experienced in our church family!

We hope to see you soon!
Dr. Mark S. Jackson and Debra Jackson

Pastor Mark was born in upstate New York into a Catholic home and is the middle child of three boys. His family later moved to Southern California where, while in high school, he met his wife Debra.

They were married and have two children, Kimberly and David. He loves fly fishing across the Southwest with Debra and is an avid photographer.

Call to Ministry

In 1974, at 21 years of age, while serving in the U.S. Navy, Mark heard the gospel and began his personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He was immediately baptized and discipled alongside his wife Debra as a Youth Minister in a conservative Baptist Church.

Seminary Education

Within a few short months of completing his duty with the Navy, he enrolled in the California Missionary Baptist Seminary. In 1978 he was conferred a Th.B. focusing in Theology with a minor in Bible Languages. In 1989 he also earned a Th.M. and finally, a Th.D. in 1990. While completing his degrees he also served on the faculty at the Seminary from 1986 to 1993.

Service Timeline

During his many years of ministry, Pastor Mark has served as Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor in three Southern California churches. In 1997, God led him to Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California where he and his wife Debra became members and learned of the Purpose-Driven Church philosophy.

In March 2004 Pastor Jackson accepted God’s call to plant a new purpose driven non- denominational church in the city of Corona. And, after much prayer and research, The Bridge Church In Corona was incorporated on July 1, 2004 with just 4 people.

On Thursday, July 8, 2004 at 7:00 pm we held our first small group meeting at Pastor Jackson’s house and had 9 people in attendance. Then on Sunday morning, August 15, 2004 we held our first worship service on the patio of the Jackson’s house and had fourteen people attend.

Later, on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2005 The Bridge Church celebrated a grand opening and continues to grow in our South Corona location!
