40 Days in the Word Campaign

Learn How to be a “Doer” of God’s Word

On Sunday, October 4th Pastor Mark will be casting the vision for this year’s Fall Campaign called, 40 Days In The Word. This 40 Day church-wide spiritual growth campaign is designed to help you Love the Word, Learn the Lord, and Live the Word like never before.

Elements of the Campaign

The 40 Days In The Word campaign consists of five major elements:

  • Sunday morning message series by Pastor Mark. Each Sunday during the campaign, Pastor Mark will be preaching on a different aspect of God’s Word. This will begin with a vision casting message on October 4th, followed by Week one of the campaign on Sunday, October 11th . The 40 Days in the Word Campaign will conclude with a Celebration Sunday on November 22nd.
  • Small Group Bible study. Each week your small group will participate in a video driven study taught by Pastor Rick Warren of the Saddleback Community Church. This video can be viewed on our church website through Zoom or in-person at your home. Those who participate in the campaign will need to purchase a 40 Days In The Word workbook for $10. Leaders: Learn how to share a video on DVD in Zoom.
  • Online Daily devotional. You will be able to access these for free on our church website (below).
  • A Scripture memorization challenge. Each week we will have a new verse from the Bible for you to memorize. We have scripture key chains to help you for just $3 each.
  • A “Doer Of The Word” outreach project for your small group.

Make A Commitment to 40 Days in the Word

Let us know if you will make a commitment to these five elements
in the 40 Days In The Word campaign.

Prepare with Prayer

You can prepare right now for this spiritual transformational experience by praying for yourself, The Bridge Church, and for someone to invite to attend the campaign with you! If you would like to pray for our campaign you can do any of the following…

Do a Prayer Walk or Drive
Do a Prayer Walk or Drive

Prayer-walking and prayer-driving are simple activities that do not require you to approach your neighbors or co-workers or to even know their specific needs. In fact, prayer-walkers and prayer-drivers are those who are “on the scene without making one.”

Do a Day of Fasting and Prayer
Do a Day of Fasting and Prayer

Fasting is a spiritual discipline that is taught in the Bible. Jesus expected His followers to fast and He said that God rewards fasting. Fasting, according to the Bible, means to voluntarily reduce or eliminate your intake of food for a specific time and purpose.
